The Narutis has been putting up travellers since 1581, which makes it the oldest hotel in Vilnius and one of the oldest anywhere in the region. Be realistic about what a 1581 building means in practice. Layouts are irregular, with stairs and quirks rather than uniform corridors, so travellers with mobility needs should confirm specifics with the hotel before booking. Pilies gatvė is also the Old Town's liveliest promenade, busy with foot traffic well into the evening — light sleepers should ask for a room away from the street. And at €130–€260 a night, it sits firmly at the expensive end of the city.
