What to expect

AgniFood is a small, tranquil vegetarian and vegan restaurant tucked into Augustinų g. 2 in the Old Town, where the interior feels like a warm corner of India and you leave your shoes at the door. It is a deliberately calm space — soft music, careful decoration and a cosy courtyard for fine weather — and service is consistently described as friendly, warm and attentive.

The kitchen cooks homemade vegetarian and vegan food: fresh, healthy and reasonably priced, with most diners spending around €10–15 a head. The best-value option is the daily 'Lunch of the day', which pairs a soup with a main course, and the tiramisu is a regular favourite for dessert. English menus are available for visitors. Note that AgniFood does not serve alcohol, in keeping with its peaceful, meditative atmosphere.
