What to expect

Da Antonio is one of Vilnius's most established Italian restaurants, set at Vilniaus g. 23 on the food-focused stretch of the Old Town. Opened as a family pizzeria in 1996, it has grown over more than two decades into a smart fine-dining room with two intimate, elegant dining areas — mirrors, chandeliers and linen-clad tables — plus a flower-decked terrace in summer. The restaurant is recognised in the MICHELIN Guide, and the atmosphere is quiet, cosy and well suited to a special occasion; it's also pet-friendly for well-behaved dogs.

The kitchen turns out high-quality Italian cooking with careful presentation, built on good ingredients and simple, flavour-led preparation. Homemade pastas are a highlight, and diners single out the steak and beef dishes, carpaccio, ravioli, burrata and the tiramisu. As a fine-dining spot, prices and portion sizes are pitched accordingly, though several reviewers note that breakfast is excellent value. Complimentary appetisers and desserts sent out by the chef are a recurring, generous touch.
